PeterDR ASTONFormer Dr at Bunbury Practice. 6th June 2020 peacefully at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd aged 90 years. Beloved husband to Rita and a much loved father and grandfather. A private cremation will take place at Vale Royal Crematorium. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date at St Boniface Church, Bunbury. Donations if so desired to Hope House Children's Hospice and can be made via the funeral director. I was born in Bunbury, and remember Dr Aston very well. As far as I can remember, he took on the practice from old Doc Arthur, who was a great character. I went to shool with Dr Astons sons, and quite often went to birthday parties at their house, which was situated at the practice. I clearly remember that on one occasion, the birthday cake was in the shape of s train, and decorated with Polo Mints.

Peter was a good friend, supportive colleague, and fellow fisherman whom I have known for 36 years.He was always a gentleman with a keen sense of humour and a tremendous work ethos whom I admired considerably.
